Jerry “Jay” Peter Lirette, 72, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died at 4:20 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010.


He is survived by his sons, Scott (Louise), Troy, both of Raceland, Keith (Andrea) of Suffolk, Va., and Kelly (Deanna) Lirette of Lockport; daughter, Mary (Kyle) Dufrene of Des Allemands; brother, Larry Lirette of Livingston; sisters, Theresa Boudreaux and Vivian Tabor, both of Thibodaux; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edia Breaux Lirette; brothers, Hubert, Ashby “Buddy” and Allen Lirette; sisters, Ruby Landry, Jenny Chaisson and Edia Lirette.

Visitation will be held from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland.

He will be buried at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.

Falgout Funeral Homes Inc. of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
