Jessie Duplantis Blanchard, 80, a native of Upper Little Caillou, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, November 8.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Nauly Blanchard of Houma; three sons, Victor Blanchard and wife Ruby of Houston, Tx., Rodney Blanchard and wife Connie of Tucson, Ar., and Karl Blanchard of Houma; one daughter, Jana Decol and husband Daniel of Houma; one brother, Ronnie Duplantis of Little Caillou; one sister, Jeanne Martin of Houma; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Xavier Duplantis and Cornelia Pellegrin Duplantis; one daughter, Lane Dorsey; and one grandson, U.S. Army Sgt. Dustin Decol.
She was a homemaker, a loving wife, a great grandmother and the best Maw Maw ever. She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, at Chauvin Funeral Home.
