Jimmie Paul Chiasson, 55, a native of Thibodaux, LA. and resident of Chackbay, LA., died at 4:37 a.m. Sunday, January 21, 2007.


Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 7 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Hall Chiasson; his mother, Rita Garnet Chiasson; one son, Jimmie Joseph Chiasson; two brothers, Rusty Chiasson and Stephen Caillouet; and three sisters, Sandra Hotard, Glenda Miller and Debra Stevens.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph ” Yank” Chiasson.

He was a pipefitter for Avondale Shipyard and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
