Jimmy Broussard, 69, a native of Meaux, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Friday, June 12, at 1 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Claudette Boudreaux Broussard; sons, James Vance Broussard and wife Dee Dee, Karl Michael “Bubby” Broussard and wife Elise, Guy Steven Broussard and wife Lisa, and Joel Norris Broussard and wife Monica; step-daughters, Nicole Adams and husband Jason, and Renee Hirstius; grandchildren, Andre, Adrienne and Caroline Broussard, Adele Broussard, Tyler and Lauren Broussard, and Olivia Broussard; and step-grandchildren, Austin and Allie Adams, Brittany Hirstius and Brianna Borne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac J. and Mazie Broussard; and brother, Robert Lee Broussard.
A life-long educator and retired Nicholls State University Professor of mathematics, he enjoyed golf, fishing and dove hunting. He loved cooking for family and friends. Always a loving father, his spirit lives on in us.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Raceland with Mass of Christian Burial to follow.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
