Jimmy Crochet, 64, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, February 7, at 10:05 a.m.


He is survived by his stepson, Duffy Carlos; stepdaughters, Veronica Billiot, Gail Carlos, Mona Carlos and Darlene LeBlanc; brothers, Jerry, Ernest, Kerry and Terry Crochet and Christopher Smith; sister, Edna Dufrene; and 32 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Trosclair Crochet; father, Henry Bourg; mother, Eunice Crochet; and stepdaughter, Shelia Carlos.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial at Rogers Cemetery in Houma.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
