Joaquin Miranda, 85, a native of Guanajay and a resident of Houma, La., died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2010.
Mr. Miranda was employed at Main Iron Works Shipyards. He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
He is survived by his son, Jacinto Miranda; daughter, Berta Bourg; sister, Marta (Daniel) Miranda; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at Annunziata Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church with burial at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
