Joe Lee Luther Jr., 59, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, August 6.
He is survived by one brother-in-law, John Chisley of Raceland; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Sr. and Estelle Luther; and two sisters, Emma Chisley and Mary Johnson.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and was Baptist.
He was buried at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland.
Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
