Johanna “Jo” Marie Trahan Wallace, 74, a native of Bayou Black, La. and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, May 22, at 9:00 a.m.


She is survived by her three sons, Dana Mark and wife Mona Miller Wallace, Timothy John and wife Robyn Crosby Wallace of Houma, La. and Gene Stephen Wallace of Camden, Ar.; two daughters, Robin Wallace Crochet Boudreaux and husband Ken, Gina Wallace Galeana Breaux and husband Dale of Houma, La.; brother, Raymond and wife Linda Carskadon Trahan of Houma, La.; sister, Rosalind Trahan Kerr of St. Francisville, La.; 10 grandchildren, Kristen Wallace Rios, Jordan Wallace, Ty Wallace, Matthew Wallace, Colby Crochet, Kasey Wallace McClain and husband Matthew, Camille Wallace, Kami Galeana and husband Micheal Sowell, Tony Galeana and wife Jennifer, Bradly Galeana; great-grandchildren, Caleb Rios, Elijah Rios, Kieryn Galeana, Jesiah Eschete.


She is preceded in death by, her husband, Marvin “Black” Wallace, son, Chris Allen Wallace, her parents, Curtis and Betty Sue Marcel Trahan; brother, Herman “Butch” Trahan and nephew, Herman Trahan, II.

Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears and sadness; then don’t remember me at all.

She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. She was an original member of the Marine Corp League Auxiliary. She loved gardening, fishing, Pokeno, and arts and crafts. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Visitation will be 6 to 10 p.m. Monday, May 25, and 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Chauvin Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to follow. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
