John Sidney Defelice, 67, a native and resident of Grand Caillou, La., died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011.
Mr. Defelice was retired from Samanie packing. He was a member of the Clanton Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandkids. He loved his pet parakeets.
He is survived by his son, Brad (Heidi) Defelice; daughters, Caroline (Henry) Montoto, Jackeline (Mark) Leco and Carol (Johnny) Duplantis; 14 grandchildren, Danielle Morris, Samuel Parfait Jr., Kandy Dorsey, Sydney Duplantis, Mark Leco Jr., Savannah Leco, Christian and Joshua Montoto, and Christie, Bradly, Seth, Trey, Kayleigh and Kora Defelice; great-grandchildren, Tori and Jonathan Parfait; and two on the way; brother, Johan “Joe” Defelice; sister, Elaine Defelice; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Lodrigue Defelice; parents, Walter and Marie Gregoire Defelice; one brother, Walter Defelice; one sister, Annie Foret; and grandparents, Marie and Johan Defelice, and Marie and Adrianne’ Gregoire.
He is buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
