John “Johnny” Sosthene Traigle Jr., 68, a native of Thibodaux, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, March 10, at 3:30 a.m.


He is survived by his wife, Judy Kraemer Traigle of Houma; his mother, Annie Laurie DuBois Traigle; son, John M. Traigle and wife, Angela M. Traigle, of Houma; daughters, Penny T. Collier and husband, Benjamin Collier, of Houston, Tx., and Jamie T. Tillman and husband, Dan Tillman, of West Palm Beach, Fl.; sisters, Louise Percle of Thibodaux and Linda Domino of Metairie, La.; and grandchildren, Nicole, Andy and Jonathon Traigle, and Zachary and Emily Tillman.


He was preceded in death by his father, John S. Traigle Sr.

He was a retired oilfield production operator and a U.S. Navy veteran. He loved hunting and was a member of the 12-mile Hunting Club. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with mass to follow. He will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
