Joseph Harvey Brunet, 82, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday July 16, 2011.


Mr. Brunet was a member of the American Legion and Knights of Columbus No. 1317, where he held many offices, including Grand Knight and Judge Adrian Caillouet Assembly. He was king of the Krewe of Hyacinths. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales and a member of the armed forces.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wanda Brunet; brothers-in-law, Louis Boudreaux, Harvey Songe and Ralph Evans; sisters-in-law, Brenda Evans, Luane Boudreaux and Renee LeBoeuf; six nephews; and 13 nieces.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lena Brunet; brother, Alton Brunet; sister, Yvonne B. Songe; and nephew, Danny Brunet.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, July 25 at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Falgout)
