Reverend Deacon Joseph Nolan Comeaux Sr., 79, a native of Delcambre, La., and resident of Berwick, La., died Tuesday, June 25, 2013.
Rev. Comeaux was a retired regional gas lift sales manager for Halliburton. After retirement he pursued his deaconship for the Diocese of Lafayette, La. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council and was a loving and compassionate husband, father, grandfather and friend. He dedicated his life to God and his community and served his St. Stephen’s Catholic Church parishioners.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Comeaux; children: Robin Bonvillain, Sharon, Joseph Jr., Tina and John Comeaux, Tonya Broussard and Josel Domangue; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bellus and Lelia Comeaux; and brothers, Warren and Russel Comeaux.
Visitation will be 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Hargrave Funeral Home and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Berwick with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis De Sale Cemetery in Houma, La. (Hargrave)
