Joseph E. Percle Jr., 67, a native and resident of Chackbay, La., died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011.


Mr. Percle was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids. He was an U.S. Army and Vietnam War veteran.


He is survived by his wife, Pearl Percle Percle; sons, Joey and Benji (Tracy) Percle; daughters, Rachel (Jerome) Guidry and Gay (Scott) Kraemer; brothers, Lester (Margaret), Robert (Mary Ann) and Thomas Percle; sisters, Merlyn (Raleigh) Robichaux and Mercedes (Ray) Tabor; stepbrothers, Albert Jr., James, John and Vaughn Luquette; six grandchildren, Dustin (Meagan), Dani, Emma and Brady Percle, Seth Guidry and Sully Kraemer; and one great-grandchild, Addie Jo Percle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Percle Sr. and Mable Percle Luquette; stepfather, Albert Luquette Sr.; one sister-in-law, Audry Morvant Percle; and one stepsister, Vickilynn Myers.

He is buried at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
