December 15, 2011Joseph “Joe” Robinson, 77, a native and resident of Chackbay, La., died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011.
Mr. Robinson was a founding member of the Chackbay Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Ward 6 Senior Citizens Center, vice-president of F.U.N. Parties and former manager of Jake’s Department Store.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jan Robinson; sons, Chris (Gwen) and Aaron (Kathy) Robinson; daughters, Sonja (Gary) Doiron and Corinthia (Randal) Reulet; sister, Enola (Warren) Percle; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Edna Robinson; brothers, Edwin, James, Lester and Elmore Robinson; and sisters, Lorena and Lurline Legendre and Linda Borne.
Burial was at St. Bridget Cemetery in Schriever, La. (Thibodaux)
