Joseph Sherrett, 82, a native of Napoleonville, La., and a resident of Denham Springs, La., died Tuesday, February 10.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Joyce Sherrett; son, Tyrone Sherrett; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Lott and Ned Sherrett; son, Samuel Sherrett; sister, Alice Rhynes; brothers, Clarence Sherrett and Cornelius Daggs; and grandparents, Samuel and Elizabeth Lott.
He was a U.S. World War II Army veteran and was Baptist.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday, February 14, at Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland, La. A graveside service will follow at Young Ladies Benevolent Cemetery in Raceland.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
