May 27, 2011Joseph Russell Thibodeaux Sr., 69, a native of St. Martinsville, La., and resident of Morgan City, La., died at 5:51 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Jones Thibodeaux; sons, Joseph Jr., Melvin and Gerren Sr. Thibodeaux; daughters, Olivia Madise, Mary Tivet and Barbara Granger; brothers, Harold, John and Weston Thibodeaux; sisters, Ida Jones and Ella Mae Lander; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
He is buried at Union Bethel AME Church Cemetery. (Jones)
