Josephine “Nana” Guercio Taylor, 94, a native of White Castle, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:32 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012.

Mrs. Taylor was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Italian Society.


She is survived by her sons, Otis Jr. (Wanda), and James Taylor; daughter, Shirley Walker; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Taylor, Sr.; parents, Domonick Sr. and Rosa Guercio; grandson, Glenn Taylor; four brothers; and four sisters.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in White Castle with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
