Josephine Boudreaux Trahan, 62, a native and resident of Houma, La. died Friday, December 28, 2007, at 6:30 a.m.


She is survived by her husband, Leffery Trahan; two sons, Hardy Trahan and his wife Sandra and Jessie Trahan and his wife Brenda; five daughters, Veronica Parfait and her husband Elton, Mary Bowden, Marilyn Jarreau and her husband Billy, Carolyn Walker and her husband Jerry, and Monica Boudreaux; two brothers, Stanley and Adam Boudreaux, Jr.; one sister, Bertha Glynn; 26 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Edith Knobloch Boudreaux; one son, Leffery Trahan, Jr.; three daughters, Vanessa Trahan, Rose Trahan, and an infant daughter; two brothers, Philip and Herman Boudreaux; and three sisters, Ada Boudreaux, Kanunnie Danos, and Veronica Williams.

Visitation is Sunday, December 30, 2007, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, December 31, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. She will be buried in Roger’s Cemetery in Houma.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
