Joy Hanna Simons, 83, a native of Houston, Texas, and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, March 11, 2013.
Ms. Simons enjoyed traveling and going on cruises to the Caribbean with her best friend, Genevia Diedrich. She retired from Chabert Medical Center as an operating room supervisor after 20 years of service.
She is survived by her daughters, Gay Christ, Patty (Rodney) Rainey and Amy (Perry) Authement; son, Michael Simons; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Faye Hanna. (Thibodaux)
