Joy Plaisance Forbes, 46, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died Sunday, February 28.
She is survived by her fiancé, Jerry Thomassie; son, Billy Plaisance Sr.; step-sons, Jerry Thomassie Jr. and Michael Thomassie; brothers, Adam Morgan Jr., Phillip Plaisance III and Sterling Plaisance; sisters, Vallie Green, Patricia Hayes, Eunice Plaisance, Essie Plaisance, Sharon Plaisance and Karen Bias; grandchild, Billy Plaisance Jr.; and step-grandchildren, Mariah, Mark Jr., Madison, and Mia Trosclair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Plaisance Jr. and Jerryleen V. Plaisance; and sister, Belinda Plainsance.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Larose, La., with the funeral services to follow. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
