Joyce Picou Bonvillain, 75, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Gray, La., died Saturday, August 11, 2007, at 11:00 a.m.


She is survived by her husband, Harold Joseph Bonvillain Sr. of Gray; one son, Michael James Bonvillain of Houma; three daughters, Christine B. Elfer and husband, Mark, of Milton, Fla., Terry B. Straley and husband, Chris, of Medicine Park, Okla., and Phyllis Bonvillain of Gretna; one brother, Floyd Picou of Houma; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Xavier Picou and Edna Lapeyrouse Picou; one son, Harold Joseph Bonvillain Jr.; one daughter, Diane Mary Bonvillain; two brothers, Hayes Picou Sr. and Gene “L.J.” Picou; and two sisters, Lois LeFort and Eulice Watkins.

She was a homemaker.

She is buried in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
