Joyce Verret Keller, 82, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Lacombe, La., died Monday, June 20, 2011.
Mrs. Keller was a cafeteria worker in the Jefferson Parish School system for many years. She will be remembered as a giving person with a sweet spirit. She loved her family and many friends.
She is survived by her son, Rene (Donna) Keller III; brother, Larry (Betty) Verret; sister, Cherry (Harold) Nini; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rene Keller Jr.; parents, Whitney and Stella Verret; son, John Keller; and brother, Whitney Verret.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, June 24 at Hargrave Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Berwick Cemetery. (Hargrave)
