Julia Miller, 67, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, April 13, at 2:27 a.m.


She is survived by her common-law husband, Freddie Coleman of Thibodaux; son, Freddie Johnson of Schriever, La.; daughters. Barbara Johnson, Doris Johnson and Charlene Miller, all of Thibodaux; sisters, Louise Miller, Lillie Mae Miller, Lois Matthews and Linda Miller, all of Thibodaux, and Leona Miller of Baton Rouge, La.; brothers, Ernest Miller Jr., Philip Miller, Charlie Miller and Charles Miller, all of Thibodaux; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Miller Sr. and Rebecca Thomas; sisters, Doris Brown Johnson and Margaret Jules; and grandparents, Edward Thomas and Margaret D. Jones.

She was a member of Old Fountain Baptist Church and served as a member of the choir for 49 years.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Old Fountain Baptist Church in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
