Julia Ockman Trosclair, 55, a native of Vacherie, La., and resident of Chackbay, La., died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011.
Mrs. Trosclair was a beloved math teacher at Thibodaux High School for more than 30 years. She was an avid reader and baseball fan. She was much loved by her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her sons, Shane (Keena), Steven (Linn) and Carl III (Alyssa) Trosclair; daughter, Emilee (Zeb) Folse; eight grandchildren, Camden, Seth, Brody, Caitlyn, Cole, Drew, and Amanda Trosclair and Izabella Folse; mother, Margaret Ockman; sisters, Jane Stein and Ellen Naquin; brother, David Ockman; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Trosclair.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Trosclair Jr.; father, Wilson Ockman; grandparents, Emile and Fay Benoit and Palmire and Maurice Ockman Sr.; and father-in-law, Carl Trosclair Sr.
She is buried at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Cemetery in Chackbay.
