Julius David Gaudet Sr.

Julius David Gaudet Sr., 64, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Bayou Vista, La., died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011.

Mr. Gaudet loved the outdoors and being on the water. He was an avid alligator and wild game hunter who also enjoyed sport fishing. He was a very kind and giving man who never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. He was gifted with the ability to tell great stories and he could talk for hours. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

He is survived by his children, Bridget, Julius Jr. and Joella Gaudet and Brandon, Valicia and Deiadrie Prejeant; brothers, Linwood and Gilday Gaudet; sister, Eva Ohmer; eight grandchildren; and one great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilday and Ella Gaudet.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Andrews Cemetery. (Twin City)
