Junior Joseph Deroche, 83, a native of Montegut, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, August 20.


He is survived by three sons, Pat Deroche, Kerry Deroche and Leslie Deroche of Houma; one daughter, Shelia Dusenberry of Gray, La.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudette Breaux Deroche; his parents, Willie Deroche and Emma Hebert Deroche; one son-in-law, Tommy Dusenberry Sr.; one brother, Wilbert Deroche; and four sisters, Rita Deroche Hebert, Thelma Prosperie, Lela Plessala and Lena Hebert.


He was a retired boat captain with Theriot Offshore Marine and a member of the Woodmen of the World. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, August 30, at Chauvin Funeral Home with

Liturgy of the Word to follow. He will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
