June 23, 2010Kate Rose, 81, a native Raceland, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died Wednesday, June 16, 2010.
Mrs. Rose was Baptist.
She is survived by her son, John (Carolyn) Rose; daughters, Ann (Henry) Folse and Irene (Eugene) Johnson; brother, Johnny (Margaret) Boyd Jr.; stepbrother, Hezekiah (Dorothy) Triggs; sister, Jeanetta Gray; and twelve grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hazie Rose Jr.; parents, Johnny Sr. and Lommie Boyd; sisters, Ora Mae Folse, Kathleen Jackson, Ethel Robinson, Ida Batiste, and Estelle and Olivia Boyd; and brothers, Aubry, Richmond Sr., Ernest and Eddie Boyd.
She is buried at Third Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland.
