Kenneth John Hutchinson, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, July 15, 2011.
Mr. Hutchinson was a 1967 graduate of Terrebonne High School where he participated in track as a medal winning record holder. He was a 1971 Graduate of USL and had a 40-year career in the finance business. He was the managing co-owner of Bayou Finance of Houma for the past 20 years. He was the financial secretary and former Grand Knight of the St. Gregory Knights of Columbus Council 6170 and a member of the 4th degree Knights of Fr. McGiveny Assembly. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Phyllis Hutchinson; children, Glenn Scott, Candice Phipps, Virginia Crochet, Kate Hutchinson and Jeremy Passow; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Virginia Hutchinson; and grandparents, Wally and Amelie Hutchinson and John and Mary Cuga.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis #2 Cemetery. (Chauvin)
