Kentrell “Click” Dewey Charles, Sr., 30, a native and resident of Raceland, LA., died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006.


Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. funeral time, in which a religious service will be held, Thursday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Burial will be in the Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland.


He is survived by his mother, Ella Marie Charles Verrett of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; his father, Raymond Lawson, Jr. of Thibodaux, LA.; his stepfather, Arnold Verrett of Ewa Beach; two sons, Kentrell Charles, Jr. and Keondre’ Charles of Raceland; two daughters, Rynikka Holmes and Kiwana Richard of Raceland; two sisters, Kendra Thomas of Ewa Beach and Railynn Price of Thibodaux; and two brothers, Deon Charles Sr. of Raceland and Donte’ Richard of Thibodaux.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elonoise Alexander; his great-grandfather, Evans Charles, Sr.; his great-grandmother, Gustavia Booker Charles, and his great-grandfather, Raymond Lawson, Sr.

He was Baptist.

Kennedy Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
