Kern Anthony Lirette, 52, a native and resident of Chauvin, died Friday, March 28, 2008.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Jacqueline Guidroz Lirette; daughter, Shanna B. Bouquet and husband, Ricky Jr.; granddaughter, Kora Lynn Bergeron “Paw Paw’s Lil Pumpkin;” his mother, Rose B. Lirette; brothers, Russell “Chico” Jr. and companion, Cathy, Robert and wife, Gwen, Kim, Timmy and wife, Donna, and Tommy Lirette; sisters, Cynthia Lirette and husband, Patrick “Petie,” Evalina Boudreaux and husband, Acklin, and Cheryl Lirette and husband, Ray; step-daughters, Gypsy Freeman and Angie Hebert Candence; seven step-grandchildren; godchildren, Shaun Lirette, Natasha Bergeron and Jousha Trahan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell “Poon” Lirette; brother, Rodney Lirette; his grandparents, Anatole and Elanora Lirette, Salradol Blanchard and Marie Matherne; and step-grandfather, Houston “T-U” Matherne.
In lieu of flowers, donations to funeral expenses may be made.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
