L.J. Joseph, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Jefferson, died Tuesday, April 21, at 8:10 a.m.


He is survived by his sons, Reynold Cleveland and L.J. Joseph Jr., and Anthony and Darren Singleton, all of Raceland; stepson, David Singleton of Raceland; daughter, Angie Singleton of Raceland; sister, Rosemary Reed of Raceland; and brothers, Warren Joseph, Jesse Joseph Sr., and Ernest Joseph of Raceland, Alcy Joseph Sr. of Boutte, La., and Charles Joseph Sr. of New Orleans, La.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Cornelia Joseph; brother, Clarence Joseph Jr.; and sister, Thelma Lewis.

He loved fishing.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at United Pentecostal Church in Mathews, La. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at Young Ladies Benevolent Cemetery in Raceland.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
