Larry Paul Bourg, 58, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 1:55 p.m.


He is survived by five brothers, Marvin Bourg of Gray, La., Charles Bourg of Gray, Leo Bourg Jr. of Bayou Blue, La., David Bourg of Theriot, La., and Emile Bourg of Houma; three sisters, Julia Neal of Bourg, Marie Gautreaux of Bayou Blue, and Marie Bourg Moore of Houma; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents Leo Prosper Bourg Sr. and Cornelia Naquin Bourg; grandparents, Zenon Bourg and Octavia Bourg, Leopold Naquin and Evelia Neal Naquin; one brother, Irvin Bourg; and one nephew, Adam Bourg.

He was a retired mechanic and a veteran of the National Guard. He was a member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial at Bisland Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
