Lawrence Johnson, Sr., 57, a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA., died Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 9:48 p.m.


Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux. The Religious service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Church. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery on Sanders Street.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Johnson of Thibodaux; mother, Elener Johnson of Thibodaux; one son, Lawrence Johnson, Jr. and wife, Tamika of Belle Rose, LA.; Two daughters, Termeiko Detrict Johnson of Houma, LA. and Lacey Irian Lee of Baton Rouge, LA.; two brothers, Lloyd Johnson and wife, Ella of Napoleonville, LA., Willie Johnson and wife, Eula of Thibodaux, and Tommy Johnson and wife, Ceelia of Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Geraldine Toups, Lois Ann Brown, both of Thibodaux, and Kasharon Johnson of Houma, and four grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his father, Solomon Johnson, Jr.; two brothers, Nolden and Louis Johnson; grandparents, James and Olevia Taylor Henderson and Solomon, Sr. and Cora Mae Johnson.

He was a member of Moses Baptist Church.

His hobbies included going to Church, watching football games, working on and collecting classic cars, mechanical work, janitorial work, carpentry work, and playing with his dogs.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
