LeeRoy Joseph Sevin, 85, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Theriot, La., died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014.


Mr. Sevin was the owner of Bayou Otter Farm for 25 years and worked for La Terre as a land manager for 28 years. He was on the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Fur and Alligator Commission. He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church and enjoyed both hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Sevin; son, Thomas Sevin; daughters, Sandra Theriot and Laurie Thibodeaux; brothers, Cyrus, George and Ray Sevin; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oneil and Annie Sevin; son, Lee Sevin; brother, Junius Sevin; and sister, Thelma Eschete.


Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at St. Eloi Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
