Leo Joseph Blanchard, 91, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 11:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2011.
Mr. Blanchard was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his son, Wayne Blanchard; daughters, Charlene Christian, Yvonne Landry and Gail Bonvillain; sister, Elsie LeBlanc; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Blanchard; parents, Walter Sr. and Agnes Blanchard; brothers, Walter Jr. and Junius Blanchard; sisters, Sue Cenac, Bessie Trosclair and Leola Chaisson; and great-grandson, Dylan Trahan.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Holy Rosary Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
