Leo Paul “Pop” Bourg Sr., 89, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Lockport, La., died Friday, February 27, at 8:00 a.m.


He is survived by his wife, Inez Chiasson Bourg; sons, Leo P. Bourg Jr. and wife Trudy, and Calvin J. Bourg; daughters, Viola “Marie” Bourgeois, Margaret Babin and husband Ralph; Susan Thomassie and husband Leo, Ruth Douglas and husband Steve, and Charlotte Babin and husband Alfred; brothers, Lucien and Sidney Bourg; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lena Bourg; and brother, Albert Bourg.

He was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.

Falgout Funeral Home of Lockport is in charge of the arrangements.
