Leon Firmature Sr., 78, a native of Bogalusa, Ms., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 12:19 p.m. Tuesday, June 17.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Thibodaux Firmature of Houma; sons, Leon Firmature Jr. of Houma and Lynn Firmature and wife, Barbara Eschete, of Houma; daughters, Lena Marie Firmature, Lisa Firmature and Lillian Price and husband, Duffy Price, of Houma; brother, Anthony Firmature of Waveland, Ms.; sister, Sally Jaromin of Lake Jackson, Tx.; granddaughters, Kasey Firmature and Krista Firmature; and a very special friend of the family, Tina Ledet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Firmature and Lena Passaro Firmature.
He was a retired mechanic for Patterson Truck Line and N.L. McCullough. He was a veteran of the Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the National Rifle Association Club. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
He was buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
