Life honored as TPSO hunts for killer

January 11, 2010Leona Janet Maryland Brown, 52, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009.
Mrs. Brown was Baptist.
She is survived by her father, Harry Maryland; sons, Gilbert (Bobbie) III and Edward Brown; daughter, Natasha Brown; brother, Lenroy (Ina) Maryland; sisters, Brenda (Willie) Azema and Lois Davis; six grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Gray Walker; stepfather, Edward Walker; one stepgrandson, Robert Lee Hill; and grandparents, Clarence and Sarah Gray.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
