Leonard Joseph Belanger, 65, a native of Bourg, La., and resident of Chauvin, La., died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011.
Mr. Belanger retired from Exxon as a Field Maintenance Foreman and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #5013 in Chauvin. He liked to fish and enjoyed being with his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Chauvin Belanger; son, Lynn Anthony (Jamie) Belanger Sr.; daughters, Shannon (Paul) Breaux and Michelle Ann Belanger; five grandchildren, Collin, Kayli and Colton Breaux, and Jenna and Lynn Jr. Belanger; and brothers, Linwood Sr., Royce and Wayne Belanger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell Jr. and Aramay Bellanger Belanger; and brothers, Ralph and James Belanger.
The family would like to thank Saint Joseph Hospice of Thibodaux and to all the friends and family for their prayers and support.
He is buried at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
