Leonard Folse, 84, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2011.
Mr. Folse retired from the U.S. Navy in 1955 earning a Korean Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, United Nations Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.
He is survived by his brother, Nolan Folse Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcelin Sr. and Ida Folse; brothers, Joseph, Aubrey, Marcelin Jr., Lawless and Eddie Folse Sr.; and sisters, Celestine and Viola Folse, Sedonia Shelby and Eva Percy.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at St. Paul Baptist Church with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at church cemetery. (Kennedy)
