Leroy Joseph Hebert, 77, a native of Golden Meadow, La. and resident of Larose, La., died at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2007.


Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, Earl Joseph “Coca-J” Hebert and Douglas Joseph Hebert; one daughter-in-law, Holly Hebert; one daughter, Norma Jean Hebert; one brother, James Hebert; three sisters, Lillian Bruce, Elise Gisclair and Marlene Lasseigne; and three grandchildren, Jeremy, Courtney and Joshua Hebert.


He was preceded in death by his parents Leodah Malgum Hebert and Sandras Hebert; his grandparents who raised him, Xavier Malgum and Josephine Dantin Malgum; and two brothers, Alcide and Railey Hebert.

He was retired.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose.

He enjoyed trawling on his son’s boat, Coca-J, and talking to his grandchildren.
