Leroy Lewis, 63, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Gretna, La., died Monday, June 21, 2010.
Mr. Lewis was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and Southern Pacific. He was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his sons, Sean Jackson Lewis and Maurice Jones; daughter, Kyeke Williams; brothers, Darryl Lewis and Cleveland “Stopper” Gathen; sisters, Thelma, Debra, Charlene and Stephanie Lewis, Sadie LaGarde and Ira’Dean (Issac Jr.) Stewart; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maude Sims and Alton Lewis Sr.; one brother, Alton Lewis Jr.; two sisters, Lillie Mae Pope and Essdie Lewis; and his grandparents, Mary Wallace and Issac Sims Sr.
He is buried at the Halfway Cemetery.
