Leroy Joseph Ross, 63, a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA., died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. funeral time, in which a religious service will be held, Thursday at St. Peter Baptist Church in Thibodaux. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Metz Ross of Thibodaux; one son, Marcus Ross of Thibodaux; one daughter, Valerie Thomas and husband, Troy, of Statesboro, GA.; one stepdaughter, Ursula Taylor of Thibodaux; one brother, Cleveland Ross and wife, Cynthia, of Thibodaux; seven sisters, Olivia Coleman and husband, Henry, Darlene Ross, Rosalee Richard and husband, Ronald, Geraldine Ross, Betty Davis, Sharlene Southall and husband, Michael, all of Thibodaux and Sadie Ross of Morgan City, LA., and 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Robert Ross; four brothers, Alvin Davis, Eddie Ross, Nelson Ross and Oscar Ross, and five sister, Ruby Ross, Martha Davis, Lillian Gaines, Florence Wheller and Viola Ross.
He was Baptist.
Kennedy Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
