Leslia “Susie” Mills Rice, age 53, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018. Susie was surrounded by her loving family when she transitioned from this world into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. She was a native of Collinsville, Mississippi and a resident of Houma.
Susie is survived by her husband of 13 years, Charles Bryan Rice; son, Jared Dewayne Parten; daughters, Brittany Layne Parten Robinson and husband Cary, Abigail Marie Rice, and Audrey Helen Rice; grandchildren, Emma Brooke and Cary Jesse D. Robinson; father, Calvin E. Mills; mother, Fleeta Mayatt Mills and step-father, Larry Smith; sisters, Rhonda Taylor and husband Jimmy, and Gina Mills and Chris White.
Susie was blessed with a beautiful family. She was extraordinary in many ways. She had so much love in her heart and extended her love to her patients while working as a Registered Nurse. She was loving, compassionate, hard-working, punctual, extraordinary, wife, mother, grandmother. Above all, Susie adored her children, and grandchildren. Susie made many sacrifices and touched so many lives and will be dearly missed. She also leaves behind her parents, who she loved dearly. In time, and with patience, we will all be reunited again to see Susie and her beautiful smile.
