Quilts auction to benefit local groups

Lester “Black” Lirette Sr., 69, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux.
Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mr. Lirette is survived by his wife, Louise Gauthier Lirette; his parent, Tiny Lirette; one son, Lester Lirette Jr.; one sister, Brenda Naquin, and two brothers, Melvin and Roger Lirette.
He is preceded in death by his parent, Rene M. Lirette, and one sister, Mabel Bananto.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
