Odomes’ lifelong friend to testify against him

August 29, 2011Levie Ledet Crochet, 83, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Bayou Blue, La., died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Albert Jr. (Phyllis) and Philip (Carol) Ledet; daughter, Sandra Ledet; brother, Ignace Guidry; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Ledet Sr. and Walter Crochet; parents, Charles and Mary Guidry; daughter, Mary Andrews; brothers, Charlie, Lolless, Eugene, Rene and Clay Guidry; and sisters, Esther Ledet, Juanita Rogers, Viola Hebert, Gertie Gervais and Melacie Thibodaux.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29 at St. Louis Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Samart)
