Libby Landry Ayo, 103, a native of Patterson, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Monday, September 24, 2007.


She is survived by her four daughters, Pauline “Polly” Baughman, Barbara Ayo, Jamie Coco, and Martha “Marty” Ayo Baudoin and her husband Melvyn; one sister, Poly Landry; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hubert “Bay” Ayo; her parents, Adam and Pauline Pennison Landry; two brothers, Ernest and Horace Landry; and four sisters, Flavia Dupuy, Mildred Perez, Ruth Olin, and Inez Spinella.

Libby was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland, La. She was well known for her artwork.

Visitation is Thursday, September 27, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Mary Catholic Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
