Lillie Celestin, 82, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012.
Mrs. Celestin was retired from Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government. She was a former musician with Mount Horeb Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Celestin Sr.; sons, James Jr. and Rev. Donald Sr. (Gale) Celestin; daughters, Judy (Michael Sr.) Smith and Cheryl (Raymon Sr.) Greenhouse; brother, Raymond (Ursula) Spencer; sisters, Shirley (Evain) Nero and Brenda Spencer; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Geniver Spencer; brothers, Joe, Elijah and Roosevelt Spencer; and sisters, Rosalie Harris, Nancy Battille and Aureline Spencer.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Mount Horeb Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Howard Third Zion Travelers Baptist Church. (Community)
