Linton Joseph Vegas Sr., 95, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Saturday, May 28, 2011.
Mr. Vegas was Catholic and a U.S. Army WWII Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Adams Vegas; children, Brien (Lucille), Linton Jr. “L.J.”, Christine and Monty (Audrey) Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Alexina “Cora” Pitre Vegas; and siblings, Matilda Gilbeau, Amie and Elva Bruce and Roman Vegas.
He is buried at Cheramie Cemetery. (Falgout)
