June 13, 2012Lionel Johnson Sr., 80, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, June 1, 2012.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Johnson; sons, Lionel Jr. (Betty) and Jeffery (Miranda) Johnson; daughter, Joan (Auther) Shaw; brothers, James (Ethel) and Walter Johnson; sisters, Georgia Long and Mildred (Charles) McGuin; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Timothy Sr. and Ida Johnson; brothers, Timothy Jr. and Charles Johnson; and sisters, Susan Hampton and Beatrice Johnson.
Burial was at Moses Baptist Church Cemetery. (Kennedy)
